Writing Prompts Can Be Deliciously Dangerous
Creative writing prompts is a tried and true way to peer into the deep lake of your soul
A month or so ago, I did a Swell podcast on how creative writing prompts are a beast: they help you to tap into the deepest recesses of your soul. They are great for two reasons: To help begin a writing project, and to tap into the greatness that is already within you.

Everything from Science Fiction, to Romance, and General categories are explored. You can even find prompts on Reedsy or just Google “Writing Prompts” — you’ll find yourself down the rabbit hole of so many possibilities.
The truth is, I can find inspiration anywhere within me, but a writing prompt brings a new perspective to writing.
This could be why I love haiku so much. You’re given 17 syllables to work with. The pressure is on… it forces greatness from you.
