A couple of years ago, a young lady told me that she noticed that women who are raised by their fathers, have higher self-esteem and less mental issues. They tend to look for the right qualities in men. This may not be in every circumstance, but they move differently.

However, we have an epidemic of men being raised by women, and I think this needs to be addressed in a healthier way and not in a way that bashes women, as I believe women definitely hold the crown above the Earth and can make the world shift if we really wanted to.

80% of single parent homes are ran by single mothers. This means the mother has to raise both sons and daughters. In Black communities, the boys are heavily protected by mom. Could this be an innate fear passed down from slavery? Could it be that the mothers fear that their young princes will be snatched away by poverty or Death, quicker than the daughters?

Men who are raised by women, tend to expect more from women in many areas, namely career. A woman’s husband may say, “ You got it easy. I wish I had a job where I could break away from the computer every now and again.” Granted, not all men work construction jobs, but he still feels “beat down” and possibly envies that you as a woman either don’t…
