Getting up at the butt crack of dawn produces successful people. Just ask Tim Cook(Starbucks Founder), Jeff Bezos(Amazon Founder) and others. Waking up early is probably the best philosophy to put into action if there ever was one. So why don’t many people adopt it? Why is it that sleep deprivation is so prevalent with a third of adults getting less than seven hours of sleep per night? I am a part of that statistic when I’d rather be a part of the former statistic.

Waking up early is a beast.

Going to bed late is fun.

These two concepts do not gel well together, because to have one you must modify the other. Only at night do I reach my peak active time of a creative idea falling into my lap, and that is the time I pull out my notebooks and iPhone to work on that project — yes, at 9 pm or later. Funny how some of my best ideas originate while I wash dishes, wash my hair, ride my bike or right before I fall asleep.

Could it be we all are night owls because what we enjoy the most is put off until after we serve our time at work?
