Ana Huang’s latest novel, The Striker is out now and her reading groups and social media re going nuts over it. I’m going nuts over it too! However, when I think about the money I’ve spent on books in the last two years and the way they are crowding my digital spaces and home space — I realize I need to go back to my old ways.
Make Use of Kindle Unlimited
Last year, I canceled my Kindle Unlimited (KU) subscription because I prefer purchasing books rather than paying $9.99 monthly for access. It seems we’re all overwhelmed with too many subscriptions, but here’s the interesting part — about a month ago, Kindle Unlimited offered a three-month trial for free.
What did I do? I filled my Kindle with every appealing book and series I had missed — completely free of charge!
In essence, even if I opted to subscribe to KU monthly, I’d still be spending money, but I wouldn’t be paying for each individual book. It’s a better value for money, akin to Netflix for books.
